Bert Park, Mountain Leader(Winter), Operations Director.

Bert is a retired teacher who previously served for 24 years in the armed services working on helicopters, he has been actively involved in outdoor education for over 30 years. He coordinated DofE for a school in Suffolk from 2012 - 2018, as well as working for a range of expedition providers. Bert holds a Winter Mountain Leader qualification and is working towards completing his International Mountain Leader qualification.  Bert has extensive experience of leading expeditions both in the UK (for DofE) and overseas. He has led 20 overseas expeditions to Madagascar, Peru, Venezuala, Vietnam, Cambodia, Zambia, South Africa, Equador & the Galapagos Islands, Norway, and Morocco.

Bert has recently completed the Tour du Mont Blanc, and the Wainright coast to coast walk. He is also a keen scuba diver, and has achieved his PADI Rescue Diver. 

Bert is also a Bushcraft Instructor and is working towards his Level 4 Bushcraft and Survival Instructors qualification. He is passionate about young people learning through outdoor experiences. In his free time Bert spends time with his Jack Russel Terriers, competes at orienteering and has completed 30 trail marathons, and 20 mountain marathons. He is also a successful ballroom dancer and partners his wife in competitions.
